Supporting unemployed people into better lives

Our aim is to ensure that every young person that we work with, from across the Scottish Borders, achieves a relevant and sustained positive destination.

We aim to get each young person into employment appropriate to their skills and attributes, or back into education to complete their learning and enhance their qualifications, or into training which develops new skills and confidence to enter the employment market.

What does works+ offer?

We work with unemployed 16 - 24 year olds.

We run 10-week projects with groups of 12 participants from across the Scottish Borders. Participants experience increased confidence, improved social skills and general wellbeing. Participants are then more able to find and sustain employment, further education or training. Works+ also offers a unique 12-month aftercare service.

Drop-in sessions are open to people of any age to help with CVs, applications and interviews.

"We are so thankful that our son got in touch with you. Works+ is filling a massive hole for these young people - you’ve made him feel he counts for something again. Brilliant."
