Kavli Trust invests £167,000 in Works+ to expand Doing It Differently
Works+ is absolutely thrilled to announce that it has been awarded £167,000 from the Kavli Trust to support the expansion of its Doing It Differently programme.
This generous three-year grant will enable Works+ to support even more young people aged 16–25 across the Scottish Borders, helping them work towards qualifications and take positive steps into employment, education or training.
Following our busiest year yet, this funding provides vital long-term stability and will help us reach more young people who need support to move forward with their futures.
Through Doing It Differently, Works+ aims to give young people opportunities to develop their skills, gain qualifications and explore pathways that work for them.
The funding will also help us provide enjoyable outings and activities, allowing young people to have new experiences alongside their learning and personal development.
We know that every young person has their own ambitions, challenges and strengths.
Having the resources to offer the right support and opportunities can make a meaningful difference as they work towards their next steps.
We are incredibly grateful to the Kavli Trust for believing in our work and investing in the future of young people across the Scottish Borders.
This support will help us build on the work already taking place through Doing It Differently and create opportunities for even more young people.

Since its inception, Works+ has been overwhelmed by support from the local community and beyond.
​​With all operating and staffing costs considered, it costs Works+ approximately £1600 to support a client from first contact into a positive destination.
