First Aid
This 1-day Emergency first aid at work course is suitable for people aged 16+ who might need to administer First Aid for a wider range of conditions.
Delivered in a classroom setting, this course offers a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real-life situation. No prior first aid knowledge is required.
Participants will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to use a range of practical basic
first aid skills which will enable them to deal competently and confidently with common
injuries and illnesses.
Learners will also be trained in the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR),
the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and the action to take in the event of a
person choking.
Our one-day course covers the following topics.
* Shock/Fainting/Unconsciousness – Focusing on Recovery position.
* Adult CPR
* Bleeding and Wounds
* Burns and Scalding
* Bandaging
* Epileptic Seizures
* Minor Injury Treatment
On successful completion of this course you will receive an Emergency First Aid at work certificate which is valid for three years by Works+
